Heartache In the Midst of Joy

One of our greatest heartaches in the midst of our joyous journey of over 10,000 kilometers to the other side of the globe is leaving behind our two precious eldest, Austin and Annie. While we know they'll be with us in spirit, we so wish they could be present with us, but their college schooling just won't permit it. We accept this, too, as from the God of all creation who holds our lives in His hands.

They will pick us up at the airport in San Francisco on May 17th, and we cannot wait to be joined together as a family of seven for the rest of our lives.

We love you Austin & Annie!!!

Dear Tom & Victoria,

Thanks so much for having Micah over for the last couple of days. I know that he'll be tired tonight, so I've already warned him to be careful and work on not being grouchy. Easier said than done, I know.

Micah introduced your blog to me (I love reading blogs--even of people I don't know) and I found myself praying for your trip as I read. I will be praying for the transistion and the time away. I will also pray for safety for you as you travel and for the kids left at home.

I will close with a couple of verses that I particularly like. Then, it will be time to get ready for the science fair before too long. Ugh...you have a few more of those kinds of things in your future with Poppy and Willow.

Be Free in His Grace,

Cathy Csider

PS If you think about praying for Charissa, who leaves for six weeks for South Africa on May 14, I would really appreciate it.

"Let us acknowledge the LORD;
let us press on to acknowledge him.
As surely as the sun rises,
He will appear;
He will come to us like the winter rains,
like the spring rains that water the earth." Hosea 6:3

"But be sure to fear the LORD and serve him faithfully with all your heart; consider what great things he has done for you."
I Samuel 12:24
