Time-Warp

Yesterday Victoria sent our previous pastor from Southern California (who first opened our eyes to truth as we never knew) the following e-mail update on our family. While simple, I thought her closing statement was profound, so I post the e-mail content here to help remind my family and me that the hour and minute hands on our clock here are ticking, but there are no hands on the clock of eternity.

"We too are often feeling the circle of life swirling around us! Austin will be married 1 year this month! (Living in Denver, working as an Engineer), Annie is a lovely 22 year old junior at Cal Poly (Graphic Design), Barret a junior studying for college entrance exams... BUT, Poppy is just 5.5, Willow an adorable 3.8 and our "new" daughter from China is 14... it's a bit of a time warp having all these stages going at once! Eternity will be "timeless" and so I sometimes feel that this "tweaking" of our "appropriate seasons" is fitting and keeps us less focused on the clock of this world and appreciating the approach of the world to come."

Smashing our time-warped clocks for timelessness,
