Well today was another fun day in China. I got to sleep in a little so that was nice. After that we got to explore a nearby museum, one of the 10 best museums in China. It was really neat and I enjoyed it a lot. After we got back from the museum, I went straight to a basketball court where I showed up some Chinese teenagers (haha, well not exactly). I enjoyed playing with them and if I may so myself, I wasn't too shabby. So ya, it was a fun day.
Almost everyone I have told so far
that I was going to China asked me how I was getting out of school, so I will just tell everyone. I got all my teachers permission, they cut me a little slack, and it will still be very hard to catch up but it is worth it I think. As you may know, there is a Spanish family here and I am enjoying speaking to them with my skills from Spanish 1, woot woot! Because of this, I am putting off my Spanish homework (I feel it is enough to speak with. :) All I gotta say is that it is really unmotivating to do Spanish homework in China! So that's that. Some things here in China are not bargains. We wanted to buy Poppy an ice cream bar...10 bucks. My dad and I played a 45 minute game of ping pong...8 bucks. I mean, you gotta be kidding me! I guess we make up for it though with 6 dollar shirts and 3 beverages for $1.75.

Willow has really liked me since we got her so it is nice to be able to love her knowing she does as well. She is very cute, inquisitive, smart, playful, and as long as she gets her way she is very happy. We have a lot to work on with her stubborn self but she is great!
Well, maybe I will post one more time in the next few weeks. I miss all you guys and especially my friends. Can't wait to come
home but I am really enjoying my time here and not wanting to come home for finals! Although I'm getting like almost 12 hours of sleep every night, I'm kinda tired so... see you later.

Great to hear from your side of the story, Barret. Anyway, that looked like an intense game of basketball (judging by the picture)...glad I could help you brush up on your hoops skills when I stayed at your crib the weekend before you left (although I DID let you win the one-on-one game---ONLY because you were leaving shortly after that).
I can't believe that you were actually able to speak well in Spanish, being as we haven't been blessed with the most prestigious of Spanish I teachers at Berean. But, I digress. Things here at Berean have been extremely mundane. One reason being, you're gone (it seems it's been forever!). I've missed you, the oddly funny fellow, always at my side, ready to rebel against the world...haha. But, to be quite frank, it feels especially lame to attempt to venture into the parking lot because a) PLM is also gone for the week! b) I look like some idiot trying to make a moronic statement and c) Well, you get the picture. Despite all of this, I have slowly, but assuredly, survived at the old school, even with Sophie trying to steal my money.
Oh, by the way, last week's cue for Algebra was "Pee Wee Herman." And, Mr. Young's weekends have been good as always. Algebra has been all right, I suppose. I've found ways to have fun, even with a key piece of the puzzle missing in that class. Mr. Govreau has been ranting on about the Cold War (Thus I quote Mr. G himself, "WHAT??"). He's been especially happy since his Red Birds are in first place. Mr. Maitlen misses your presence at the school, but I certainly have made up for it. Dr. B hasn't talked about Snowball in a while, but I still have to cope with reading that annoying play, Romeo and Juliet. The linguistics in that story are so flowery, it's obnoxious. And, craziest of all, Coach T has been shockingly lenient (he says he's preparing for the dodgeball tournament; despite this, my team somehow got disqualified and we can't even participate in the tourney! Bogus!) Oh, and of course, Ms. Barret has been subbing Comp Apps all week---I hear it's quite the treat (I say this with a smirk)...awesome Mr. Rush is apparently subbing for PLM, but, unfortunately, I don't take U.S. History. Blast!!!!
Anyhoo, I can't think of any really funny stories that occurred at Berean right now (if I did, I would most likely run out of room...I apologize for my verbosity in this comment, just wanted to expound on my time back at the ranch). Oh, Jordan Smith sang the most amazing solo today during chapel (I guess it's part of the musical this weekend). But, really, this kid can sing! I was falling out of my seat he had such a great voice. I haven't seen Sandra or Isaac all week... Speedy Steph and I are saving our race for when you come back to America...she's still weird... And B-Mac (i.e. Brittany McMillen), Jona, and I have made a sort of chant, it's quite cool...I showed Santa Maria some of the pictures from the blog; she loved them! Okay, I assume everyone here says "Hello," including all of the Klan.
One last note, my A's have been doing absolutely marvelously (22-14, second place in the AL West, a half game back from the hated Angels...but only for a little while!) Barry Zito is back in the rotation for your Giants...my Penguins are playing the best hockey ever---they will compete in the Conference Finals starting Friday...they're gonna play the Flyers...I've kind of given up on the NBA, ever since the Warriors got knocked out of playoff contention...and Eight Belles, the runner-up in the Kentucky Derby had to be euthanized because it broke its ankles, which was very sad...you may be behind on your sports, or this might just be redundant.
Okay, take care. Hopefully you can respond to my comment. Especially since I do not yet have a cue for tomorrow (er, Thursday) in algebra. "OBAMA!!!" and "HEY YOU...SHUT UP!!!" Let Jona know you said "Happy Birthday." Unfortunately, you'll miss her birthday party on Friday, but I'd rather be in China too. I can't help but be jealous of you walking the Great Wall, as Richard Nixon once did during the duration of his visit with Mao Tse Tung, the Communist leader of China at the time.

Sorry, buddy, I went on and on...so much to say, so little time and space to write. Like I said, I'm verbose!
Oh, and Willow seems to be a fantastic addition to the Kruggel family. Can't wait to meet her...she sounds wonderful! I loved all the pictures as well. Okay, enough of my babble.
